As part of our school’s participation in the Plastic Clever Schools initiative, we took meaningful steps toward reducing single-use plastic. With the generous donation from the organization Common Seas, students replaced disposable plastic bottles with reusable water flasks.
In addition, the class teacher supported the effort by donating reusable fabric tote bags to all students who took part in the action, promoting environmentally friendly habits inside and outside the classroom.
The students also collaborated on creating a colorful and impactful poster titled “Say No to Plastic – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.” Although it no longer decorates our classroom, as members of Common Seas who visited our school took it to be entered in a competition, its message continues to inspire us every day.
