Sustainability Action Plan
This is our sustainability Action Plan for 2024-2025 – as you ca see we have achieved a lot of this.
We are now writing a new one for the next academic year which will include reducing plastics – perhaps be one-use plastic free is the aim!
Lamination Policy
We now recycling all plastic at school – done by eco-prefects at the end of each week.
Battery and pen recycling – done all the time – no pens or batteries put into the rubbish bins! Vouchers earned to buy new books where we pick books linked to environmental topics and suit various ages.
Next year – will be recycling soft plastics too as changing rubbish collection providers.
Audit completed with all year groups in KS2
Yr 3-6- filled in the PCS audit – i was able to get some good ideas for the future and realised the children all put – ‘ok, but could do better’ for how we are tackling the issue. Need this to develop into ‘we’re doing well, next year when i can repeat the audit. Happy to see that they all put that they know quite a lot about plastic pollution!
