Η αλλαγή ξεκινά από την έμπνευση και την κατανόηση! Με όραμα ένα περιβάλλον καθαρότερο και ασφαλέστερο, οι μαθητές μας ανέλαβαν δράση μέσα από το πρόγραμμα Plastic Clever Schools, υιοθετώντας μια συνειδητή στάση απέναντι στη χρήση πλαστικών.
Στο πρώτο στάδιο (Inspire), ερευνήσαμε τον αντίκτυπο των πλαστικών στο περιβάλλον και εμπνευστήκαμε από τις αλλαγές που μπορούμε να πετύχουμε.
Στο δεύτερο στάδιο (Investigate), αναλύσαμε τη χρήση πλαστικών στην καθημερινότητά μας, εντοπίζοντας προβλήματα και ευκαιρίες για βελτίωση.
Στο τρίτο στάδιο (Act), βάλαμε τη γνώση μας σε πράξη: μειώσαμε τα πλαστικά μιας χρήσης, ενισχύσαμε την ανακύκλωση και την επαναχρησιμοποίηση και διαδώσαμε το μήνυμα της περιβαλλοντικής υπευθυνότητας.

Transforming plastic bottles into painted pots for the school garden is a wonderful example of creativity and environmental consciousness. This project not only provides a sustainable way to repurpose waste but also engages students in hands-on learning.
Our actions 5
Students took the plastic bottles from the recycling bin and separated the bottles from the caps. They transformed ordinary plastic bottle caps into educational games, such as sorting and counting activities for younger students, turning learning into a playful experience.

The innovative heart-shaped recycle bin is a remarkable testament to the creativity and environmental consciousness of students. Born from a spirited competition, this design not only serves a practical purpose but also symbolizes the collective passion and commitment of the younger generation towards sustainability. The heart shape is a powerful visual metaphor, suggesting that caring for the environment is an act of love and responsibility.

We replaced old water taps with new ones to promote sustainability and encourage healthy hydration habits among students. By providing easy access to clean water, we can significantly reduce the use of single-use plastic bottles, fostering an environmentally friendly culture.
Our actions 2
In an inspiring initiative to promote sustainability and environmental consciousness, we have transitioned from nylon bags to reusable cotton bags, each imprinted with the empowering message, “Act Now.” These eco-friendly bags are designed for students, providing a practical and meaningful way for them to carry their belongings. To further encourage a green mindset, each bag includes a special gift: a packet of seeds ready to be planted.
Our actions 1
Switching from disposable plastic utensils and bags to more sustainable alternatives is a commendable step towards reducing environmental impact. By opting for reusable isothermic bags, we not only minimize waste but also benefit from their ability to maintain the temperature of food, which can enhance food safety and quality. Similarly, replacing plastic forks and knives with reusable options, such as those made from bamboo, helps decrease reliance on single-use plastics, reducing pollution and conserving resources.
Our campaign
During the 2024-2025 school year, our school implemented activities aimed at promoting sustainable choices through our participation in the Plastic Clever Schools network.
We created a poster which included clear and actionable suggestions about reduction of the use of plastic, such as using reusable shopping bags, opting for metal or glass water bottles, and encouraging the use of biodegradable alternatives.
In our ongoing efforts to reduce plastic use, we have actively engaged with parents and the community to foster a more sustainable environment. Through informative workshops and community meetings, we have shared our initiatives and the significant steps we have taken so far.
