Heath’s Campaigns

As a school, we've looked at ways we can reduce, reuse and recycle.

Some of the eco councillors created posters to encourage the use of reusable water bottles in school (see photo for an example). We have also created posters that encourage recycling, not littering, turning off electrics, walking to school and saving water.

The KS2 children helped to create a 'Plastic in the Oceans' display, which highlights the danger of plastic pollution to marine life (see photo). Some year groups also learned about the impact litter and plastic have on the environment in their PSHE lessons.

Over the year, we have sent out 'Eco Tips and Challenges' in our school newsletters. In September, our 'Eco Tip' will be a reminder to bring reusable bottles into school.
