The KAP Green team did a survey to see how much single use plastic we use in school. Over a week, they counted up amounts of different plastic used in the school dining hall and staff room and identified the key problem plastics. We discovered that yoghurt pots are huge problem in our school (as well as a few other common plastics such as crisp packets and food packaging). We discussed our plan of action to tackle the problem plastics and not long after completing the action plan, began work talking to staff and writing to people. This is working progress but change is already starting to happen!
