We did a litter pick around our school field and playground today, picking up two buckets full of various litter types. The kids were super-keen to clear the whole field, and we discussed the different litter types there and what was recyclable.
We also talked about how the litter could harm wildlife and about microplastics seeping into the ground and waterways.
We then emptied the buckets on the playground and separated the litter so that we could place anything recyclable into the relevant bins.
