We have had lots of discussions and done extensive research into the damage one use plastic does to the environment as well as the impact it has on nature. We made a pledge to encourage everyone at Lightmoor Primary school to make small changes to have a big impact on the planet: picking up litter, recycling, opting for reusable products instead of throw away ones, being mindful of wasting products that have plastic casings.
Our efforts have been rewarding as we have seen a drop in the amount of items in the plastic recycling boxes in each classroom.
Everyone at Lightmoor Primary School are aware of our Eco crew and their visions through assembly presentations and the information on our Eco board.
